Former Kenosha School Board President Dies

Kenosha--A former Kenosha School Board member and the point man locally for the proposed Menominee Indian casino at Dairyland Greyhound Park has died. 

Eric Olson passed away Sunday at St. Catherine's Hospital. He was 68.

Kenosha Police: Remains Identified

Kenosha---The remains of a person found  last spring off of a frontage road near I-94 and Highway 158 have been identified as a Chicago man who'd been missing since 2012.

Fire Destroys Mount Pleasant Home

A home---at 1227 Lawndale Avenue---in Mount Pleasant---was completely destroyed by an early (Monday) morning fire---and---the house next door was significantly damaged. A woman and a child went to the hospital with burns.

Two Dogs Rescued From Kenosha House Fire

Kenosha---A home sustained moderate damage, but no one was injured--including the family's pets--in a Friday morning fire near Brass Community School.

A City of Racine Public Works employee died as a result of injuries suffered when he was pinned between a car and his recycling truck on Washington Ave. near Indiana St. Wednesday morning.
