(WGTD)---A fatal shooting that occurred late Friday night in Racine was captured by surveillance cameras.
A 39 year-old man was shot in the head in front of a day care in the 2700 blk. of Wright Ave. after a car pulled up.
The shooting scene is almost directly across the street from the alder who represents the area, Renee Kelly.
Kelly said homeowners installed cameras after the last major incident on the block: Gunfire that erupted following the nearby Graceland Cemetery shooting in 2022. Two teens were convicted in connection with that gang-related incident that involved a gun being fired at mourners attending a graveside service.
"We have all these houses in a row that have all of these cameras," said Kelly in discussing her street with WGTD Saturday. "It's not the really best spot to do these things but that's just the way things happen I guess," she said.
Police described the Friday night shooting as it being an "isolated" incident.

The release did not make mention of any suspects or arrests.
Kelly said the shooting reminded residents of the 2022 traumatic event in which homes were damaged by gunfire.
